Come back from the grave just for one more post (maybe):
Do you realize how stupid you sound? You sound like the average moron who equates making fun of the government as making fun of the people (e.g. I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.E.N.C.E, that they destroyed Paris and I believe Cairo as well, it's been...
Coming back from the cemetery of no-longer-posting-FWS-users for one single post:
Sacha Baron Cohen is THE MAN. Stick it to what makes this country stupid, and pretend to be even more stupid and completely uncivilized, speak Armenian instead of the Kazakh language, and tell all lies for great...
Yes it will, registers can be used for storing program code (chip-specific instructions). The speed of memory close to the CPU still far exceeds that on the bus. That and since chips are getting faster, and more memory becomes available, one can spend less time optimizing and more time designing...
For those that don't know, all that a T1 is is copper. LOTS of it. You have a mux that selects 1 out of 24 channels to xmit data on (with electric pulses, not photons) and those 24 multiplexed gives you approximately 1.5Mbit both ways.

As needs change, a so-called perfect operating system will too. Considering the amount of corporate dollars and how many different...

I'd just go for a laptop...like this:
14.1" Widescreen NOT GLOSSY, 1920x1200 resolution :p
Intel L2500 1.67GHz Low voltage Core Duo
4GB of PC2-5300 (DDR2 667MHz) CAS2 RAM
ATI Mobility X1800 512MB RAM (all dedicated)
200GB SEAGATE 5400RPM SATA HD (battery life is important)
Slot-loading 16x...
Okay, here's how it turned out...
Acer's logic board (don't know why...) wrote a 1 cylinder partition at the beginning of the HD after finding out that I had erased the PQSERVICE partition. That was the cause of all the problems. I booted into KNOPPIX 4.0.2 and removed it, and now all is well...
