I have the Sempron 3600+ in one of my desktops, and thoroughly unsatisfied... it's running at 1.7 GHZ, but my Athlon 2000 runs at 2.0ghz..

Makes no sense to me.

It WAS my Dream System, with all the other toys, and someone said my chip is wrong or the bus speed is wrong... but the motherboard is jumperless and when I got the 3600 it wasn't publicly available retail wise...

Now if you go to AMD's site it says the 3600 should be running around 2.4 or so.

Dream System turned into Nightmare System

Well if I ever had a dream computer, it'd be:

G5 -- 2.0 GHz
MAC OS 10 w/ Classic Installed
HDD 1 = 200 GB
HDD 2 = 100 GB (For Back ups or documents)
Screen Type = LCD
x2 USB (or x4)
x2 Firewire
x1 SCSI
A/V Input Output (The Red White and Yellow things that usually come on TVs)

and a whole bunch more. :p

5Ghz+ Overclocked Pentium 4
Liquid Nitrogen Cooled (yes, you can get this!)
DVD+/-RW Drive x 2
Blu-Ray RW Drive x 2
16x USB
Overhead Projector Screen + 20" LCD (both showing same thing)
2 x 500GB HD
2 x FireWire
Built-In Freeview
2GB graphics chip
2GB RAM
Dual Booting win Vista (stable)/Mac OSX

Although this is a dream computer thread, I hate to break it to anyone wishing a dual boot Windows/MAC Os... but depending on the Motherboard (Not the processor as we all know Intel is gonna be put in Macs) it may not work.

*Sigh* But we used to have Hybrid computers way back when... MACOS + Windows on drives that were closer to today's HDDs that we have now. Unfortunately, the company that made those hybrid computers don't make their hybrid computers anymore. :cow2:

Intel L2500 1.67GHz Low voltage Core Duo
4GB of PC2-5300 (DDR2 667MHz) CAS2 RAM
ATI Mobility X1800 512MB RAM (all dedicated)
200GB SEAGATE 5400RPM SATA HD (battery life is important)
Slot-loading 16x DVD+-R/4x DVD+DL/RW/RAM/52x CD-R/24x RW
HDTV/DVB-T/Analog Tuner
9-cell 5400mAh battery
Able to switch into tablet mode
International 100-240V/Airplane/Car Charger
100% device compatibility in Gentoo/Ubuntu/SuSE/KNOPPIX
