It's called a favicon. Read the site, its got everything there :)

In htaccess file, try this ForceType cgi-script .txt I'm not sure what the media type is for CGI, but try that.

Its an extremely useful feature, Better go out and find it...

I just use the stricter rules of XHTML in my HTML. I thought that was all it was, just making sure you closed things and stuff...

If the httpd (the server daemon) is already started then you'll be able to access your files via localhost, similar to windows. As to where to put your files, a little search on the net says that the default dir is /var/www/html. But I think you can make a directory in your users home...

Thats the thing, its not simple. The simplest solution would to use PEAR's mail class, thats easy.
