    CJB NET and OEMMAIL

You can use a third party nameserver. Just enter the nameserver in the 'DNS Server' field on the Modify Account page.

    CJB NET and OEMMAIL

The CNAME record can not be entered without using a third party DNS service. If oemmail insists upon that record being in place, you'll either need to use a third party nameserver or use a different mail service. I know when everyone.net was still free it didn't require CNAME records be in place.

    CJB NET and OEMMAIL

Then mail.oemmail.com is now handling mail for your CJB.NET hostname. If you're still having trouble, you will probably want to contact oemmail for further assistance.

    CJB NET and OEMMAIL

Put mail.oemmail.com in as the mail server.

    CJB NET and OEMMAIL

I don't know much about oemmail, but I'll assume it's a third party mail service. If that's the case, they should provide you with an MX server to use. Simply enter that server hostname under the 'Mail Server' field on your CJB.NET account.

    tera-byte??

In reality, there's only a handful of people complaining on the forums. The same people just keep posting in every thread they can find about it so it only looks like there's a lot of people complaining.

    tera-byte problem

You are quite wrong. Steve already stated (I don't recall if it was here or elsewhere) that he did look into the issue and credited the average amount of overage to everyone's account. In other words, Tera-Byte took the loss. Also, if you moved to a dedicated server from shared hosting...

    tera-byte problem

The problem with adding filters to routers is that it takes a tremendous amount of processing power to inspect each and every packet that goes through the router, match it against a filter, and either let it through or discard it based on that. Routers are designed to route traffic from one...

Yes, the check was for the correct amount as reported by their system, and it arrived about a month and a half after the end of the month in which the impressions were delivered.

50megs and cjb.net have gone down?

Sounds more like your ISP was having DNS problems. I don't know about 50megs, but CJB.NET hasn't had any outages recently.

Re: Re: PLZ read (dont ignore) Wow, thanks for being so specific when you badmouth a host.

Have any of you ever used "Spaceports?"

You need to connect in passive mode.

Have any of you ever used "Spaceports?"

That's correct, and it was promptly removed and has only been a single 60-pixel-tall frame for months now.

Have any of you ever used "Spaceports?"

Wha? The ad frame is a single 60-pixel-tall frame at the bottom of your page. It doesn't cover the "bottom and the right side" of the page.

They need to get their act together? The webmaster was on vacation last week. Give him a chance to update it.

    Url Redirection

As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing wrong with having an ad pop up after 7 minutes if you rely on that for your revenue, but you shouldn't advertise it as being "ad free" when you do this. That was my point -- you said it was ad free, and it's not.

    Url Redirection

Not so. On another forum, I saw a complaint from someone asking why they were getting a popup on their web site. They had a kickme.to address, so I loaded it up and checked the source. Sure enough, there was an invisible ad frame being loaded. I loaded that frame and checked its source, and...
