I used to lurk here a lot and read all of the posts. These days, it seems that activity on this site has came to a screeching halt. I see the "new posts" are only a page or two each time I sign on, and even worse, they appear to just be the same hosting offer ads that are posted continuously by...
I've been a member here for a LONG time.... and recently decided to check it out again. All I can say is, "Wow." This place is nothing like it used to be. It seems like nothing more than a place for people to dump off copy and paste ads and it appears there's very little actual "discussions"...
Making a "Terms of Service Agreements or Conditions" should be made to fit your business criteria... so you just have to specify, add, remove and change certain information. Use the legal sample document below but read everything and make sure you understand it...
Hi,
I have been looking for a good Content Management System for awhile now. I have looked at PostNuke and others similar to it but can you recommend any better ones? I would prefer a PHP one but Perl or ASP would do fine.
A question about PostNuke: I have seen all the PostNuke sites out...
If you are curious about how it is made, always check the source code, well apparently the script used in this one is found here:
http://dhtmlcentral.com/script/script5.asp
But there are lots of other similar ones...
Regards,
Whenever I design a page in IE 5.x 99% of it looks thesame in Netscape 6. Actually, its almost identical. What I hate designing is for Netscape 4.x (terrible CSS supoort). It's easy designing pages for Netscape 6.
It doesn't mean you are coding incorrectly if your web page does not correctly...
Charging $500 for web development is just average for a freelancer or one man company. Alot of services today charge per the hour and I think it's too expensive. Having a flat rate is not a bad idea but it will not always work on all types of projects because they could be small or big like...
They used to have a time limited beta version of the FrontPage 98 on a cd but that was a long time ago...FrontPage 98 is horrible compared to the new FrontPage 2000.
Of course that will be Photoshop 6 !
If you have the $$$, upgrade to Adobe Photoshop 6! If you are in budget get Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7 instead. Or get a student or educational license for Adobe Photoshop because it will be cheaper.
Re: Another question....
It depends which script you are using, Ultimate Bulletin Board (CGI) has alot of features, customizable and you can hack, add or modify the code. I think its the best one. I dont know much about vBulletin but I know its made in PHP3 and its faster than UltimateBB...
Try replacing your current onLoad="initsc()" event on the <BODY> tag with this:
onLoad="initsc(); if (parent.Scroll) parent.myscroll.activate()"
Strange but, I had to reload the page again for me to see the page.
I suggest you to follow the full instructions from the Dynamic Duo's...
Add some colour to make it abit vibrant because its too much like a monochrome style (Unless thats what you like for the theme). Logo is kinda big, scale it abit. Plus, the Times New Roman font type should be replaced with another font type because it gets too tiring looking at webpages with...
You are just going to have to put the <form> before the <td> and after for the closing tag. Like this:
<form action="http://www.silchar.com/cgi-bin/dspprofile.pl" method="post">
<td width="233">
<select name="area" size="1">
<option selected...
It's possible to maintain a good quality in JPEG but the size will be large. You have no choice but to decrease the quality if you want to keep the file size small. In GIF, you have a limited 256 colour palette so the quality variation will be visible if the image is a photo type. You can use...
My choice is Dreamweaver 4! Total design control!
Frontpage 98 is a total waste but the new Frontpage 2000 is much better and improved than the previous version, it handles and maintains the original source code properly. It's also good if your web server is Frontpage server enabled so it's...
Hi Koolguy,
The thing I like about your site is the nice selection of colour theme on the layout. The top layout is so, so but a nice font type and design would help the logo to stand out.
The header title's (like: Featured Suff, Ed-itorial, etc...)of the main content layout may use some...
Hi,
Its a very nice site! I like the use of dhtml, I admire dhtml due to not needing any plug-ins to make a good interactive site, I also hate it because its hard to code in dhtml and comptability problems with the 2 major browsers and its past versions. You could do your site in Flash in a...
