If you look at my screenshot I got 1152X864... or a very high setting on a respectible 17" monitor.

I suggest you get a KDS XP-F7 17" Monitor... as they are they have the flatest screen on the market (not diameter, but the screen itself is flat)

I keep my display at 16-bit because I get more performance (speed wise) that way.

Smaller icons and text can hurt your eyes, but by going outside a lot you can prevent that.

i can go up to 1600x on my 19' right now im on my folks shitty xp with a 17'

That would really mess up my eyes.

Isolized 17" monitors are better than 19", the fonts get too small on them.
