I usually get around 100 KB/s, and the side loaded slower than most.
(coming from Canada)
 
Web site: Around 2.5 seconds
Blank file: 34KB/s

This is on a 3.0mbps (maybe 3.3, we're supposed to get an upgrade and I don't know if we did yet) cable connection from Yuppie Central of the Southeastern US (Atlanta).

I usually get much faster downloads than this....

Whoa, amazing...using a cable broadband and lives in the same country as the server, my speed is slower than some other living across the earth! yucky...-__-
 
Yeah, probably only in the asia region. I've asked my host to move it back to the old server, hopefully speeds are decent!
 
hey trenz i have a php script that checks the speed you download off a server. I cant remember the website but if you want it, just PM me and i can email it to you ;)

Yep, we have lines directly connected to our ISPs.

http://getsmilies.com/assortment/smilies.zip is the only one I can provide, but it's a <100kb file so it might not be too noticeable...
