I'm pretty sure on LAPTOPS, everything is soldered. That's why they don't sell mobility chips seperate.
 
i dont think its that bad of a thing. like i feel for you dude, but six months isn't that bad. i mean the life of cell phones is averaged at something like 2 years, so in todays world 6 months isnt all that bad. I mean if it was like a week or so it would totally be scam worthy, but six months isnt too bad. anywhoo, good luck in finding a new comp.
 
Mainboards gone for sure, but at least the bids up to $600, not bad for a risk on a non working unit :)
