Firefox is good for the Webmaster, and those who know about the security holes in IE

IE is good for those who dont know better, and if you welcome viruses and a backdoor to hackers, popups, and adware.

Netscape is between Firefox and IE, nice and clean, tabbed, but not a lot of added features.

And I dont know a thing about Safari or Opera

Firefox for me as well. I'm not one of those "Eww IE" or "Firefox pwnz you". I just have found that FF is clean, simple and fits my needs.

only prob i have with firefox is it makes me lazy in my html code
Wouldn't that be IE? Firefox requires standards-compliant code, so I'm not sure how that would make you lazy.

Anyway, I use Firefox on Windows and Linux, but I'm not a big fan of the Mac version. I love Safari on the Mac.

due to you can use things that IE dont know like <img src"pic.jpg" border = "red"> where you cant do that in IE i beleave

I could'nt have said it better myself.

I used Firefox for awhile. It's not bad and it did seem I had to clean less spy/adware off my system. However there are some sites that don't display quite right in it and some sites that won't work with it at all. I got tired of having to switch back and forth. Right now I'm using the new AOL Explorer. It's based on IE so it has better compatibility and it has tabs, RSS feeds, and AOL fixed some of the security holes that MS didn't. Funny that after buying and promoting Netscape all these years, they're now finally gravitating toward IE.

I just use plan old IE. Yeah it might not be the best but that is why I implement good software that keeps my computer nice and clean.

Regards,

hmm... im on firefox now, but am really looking forward to IE 7. i just hope it isnt a resource hog. i love netscape 8 too, tabbed browsing, availability to view in IE or gecko engines. only problem is that its a bit of a resource hog (though i do only have 800mhz 256mb ram)

I dont think its fair to compare IE 6 to firefox. Firefox cam out last year and IE 6 has been out for over 5 years.

I use firefox, too. It suits me just right with a few extensions and what-not thrown in there. It's up to personal preference, but fewer these days look back to IE 6 once they've used it. It looks like IE 7 may give it good competition, though.

I'm not sure why that really matters, but Firefox has been out since 2002.

IE has been around since '95, and the sad thing is it hasn't really hasn't eveolved as much as it should have. IE7 still won't even be standards-compliant. That annoys me... I shouldn't have to properly code a website and then try and find some fixes because IE doesn't understand CSS properly.

IE7 i do not trust i have herd lots of bad things about the open ports and the backdoors it seems to leave open it aprenly more easy to hack a user with IE7 then any other browser out there atm.
