managed wordpress hosting

500mb space 10 gig band no ads or forum posts!

Guys, seriously, please stop complaining about this host. The guy is obviously having some server issues and that is to be expected with the large ammount of signups in such a short time. Cut him some slack, if you want hosting without any problems go paid, there you will get reimbursements :).

As I have read it, they were hacked and all 700 accounts were lost.. no back up now..

I do not understand why someone would want to do this.
Security is increased, and new software being installed (ipanel)
Were relaunching in 1-2 days.

So all of my data is lost? I had alot of things in MySQL file and such that is unrecoverable. There is no way at all to save it? I'm not talking about a 2 day old database. It's one I had from before that has like 6 months worth of forum data in it that I transferred here. I sure hope there's a backup.

I believe your also supposed to keep backups of your own data generalplot...you cant expect hosts, well mostly free hosts, to backup all your data for you...always keep your stuff backed up also.

Yeah, but who would have thought to make a backup after being on a new host for less than 2 days?

Im sorry guys, I aware so far that we have sucked, annoying issues that I should have sorted before launching catch-free. I admit I really screwed up.
But the lesson has been learned and catch-free is ready now!
So I will offically re-launch, don't worry everythings the same, but I'm going to reset downtime counter ect...
From then on catch-free WILL be the BEST FREE HOST ever.:D

Yes they where indeed hacked, but guess what, there IS a button to backup your site... It's there for your use, so whose fault is it they got hacked? theirs, whos fault is it there isnt a backup of your stuff? Yours.

It is true that their uptime isn't too good but if you want a definite garunteed perfect uptime, then go find a paid host.

As far as me, when they get ipanel going, i'm signing back up.

Oh yeah and if it's a site(with no forum), thats a bad thing if you can't keep a backup on your computer.

some people have complained you cant backup, you can, but you can't do an EMAIL backup, this is basically as it runs havoc with our bandwidth ect...
On the backup section simply click the file you want to backup and it downloads straight to your pc.
Sadly I can't back up your sites as the cost would be ridiculous.

I moved my sql database from another host, onto yours.
 
Damn!! What did they (hackers/crackers/attackers) want??
Sadly...they have a high intelligent brain, but moralities? They don't have!!
Why they would want to do this?

Hope Catch-free will go better after this tragedy...

Hmmm, I had an interesting conversation with a person from http://www.5-starhosting.com that hosts catch-free.com. In fact, their yahoo messenger contact info is here: http://5-starhosting.com/support.html. And he told me that catch-free wasn't hacked, but rather, someone was given a user name and password by catch-free's owner in order to do an installation of some sorts, and that person wound up wiping the accounts out. If that's the case, then it's not a hacker, but rather a bad decision made on the part of someone at catch-free. Here's a section of that discussion:

wrong, turns out it wasnt the script install guy, the timeings don't fit, and his support desk dosn't get reply emails.
I thought it was that guy, until recently, I cannot see any way the guy hacked us, UNLESS either we got hacked, or the guy had his email hacked.
This was no crack o jack, it was a proffesional script installer, i don't ---- around with your accounts guys.
