Warning: 2XHosting.net is scammer!

I was cheated $10

Here is his hateful trick:

He setup your account after you paid, then, he suspend your account with some ridiculous reason the next day. So you lose your money and you get nothing from this scammer!

See his scammer corporate host plan on his website:
25000 MB Data Storage
400 GB Data Transfer
10 Domains Hosted

Only need $10.42/Mon

How he can earn money if he is not scammer?

IPAIDYOU,

True, it must be very difficult for you.

Perhaps you could state the exact reason you were given from your host as to why your account was classified "abuse".

Get a refund if you can.

Best

Sad to know but remember 400gb for 10 $ is like saying hello to God on phone. Now u decide if thats possible or not.

2xhosting is a resellerpanel reseller, you've gotta research before you buy.

Agreed, always research your host, theres to many resellers out there today.
Yes, you can never do too much research. The important thing to look at though is: does the host look cheap (template based sites and $2 a month hosting plans are a good example)? If the answer is yes, then chances are they have cheap suppliers (whether dedicated or reseller) and will probably let you down in the future.

Then if he was only on the server a day, give him a refund and send him on his way.

/me isn't , clearly overselling. cPanel would be well advised to make cPanel unable to oversell :)

Okay you need to provide an URL if you are making this accusation. Because like stated before http://2xhosting.com/ is using a free resellerpanel thing and if that is the case then he CAN'T suspend your account because he DOESN'T HAVE ACCESS to the server itself. And also it makes me think you are talking about http://2xhosting.com/ because you said 25000MB and 400 GB for 10.42 which matches the exact offer at http://2xhosting.com/. And yet, it is impossible for that site's owner to suspend your account.

So that leads me to believe you are talking about 2xhosting.net in which case...well nothing to say because Mini said most of it.

Your stories aren't making any sense, so I suggest next time do more research and follow the TOS and AUP.

Do you mean <<removed>>?

If you do mean them, they are on my server.

Also, to add to this. IPAIDYOU, is your site topxsite.net? If so, I suspended it because you were using excessive resources, and I disallowed the reseller to unsuspend it because you were causing performance problems to other people on the same server. That site, <<removed>>, was getting 50,000 hits in a day (most likely because it was a porn site and it was only on the server for a day and a bit) which is unacceptable for a shared environment. Correct me, if I'm wrong about your site.

Thanks,
Mini

more sounds like the plan on 2xhosting.com

Am I the only one who thinks it is very unprofessional to disclose customer details on a public forum?

Yes it does, but what do people expect when they based their choices on price alone?

Do you have any research tips for people? Often (not always) the ones who are scammed are those who are naive. What are the best ways to find out if a host is a "resellerpanel reseller?"

How can people find these things out?

In general, what indicates a "good [hosting] deal" or a "too-good-to-be-true deal?"

Here's the only way I know of knowing if it's a ResellersPanel host:

1)- Recognizing their templates
2)- Click on the resellers "Reseller" link and see if it redirects you to "ResellersPanel.com" (Of course, this is'nt necessarily true. A regular host could use them to provide their reseller services.)
3)- The plans they offer. ResellersPanel only offers 2 plans (specs-wise). Price may vary depending on the site.
4)- The "elefante" installer is mentioned

I was only trying to defend 2xhosting because they are not a scam. But anyhow, I've removed the details to prevent more arguments. Also, would you kindly please remove it from your post aswell.

Thanks,
Mini

Thanks for the specifics, but is a "ResellersPanel host" by default a bad deal? Some people seem to be pleased with reseller deals, no? I understand how a reseller option is an advantage to the business, but when is the reseller an advantage to the customer?

Their sites look identical. If there is reference to quoting a specific support number when you contact support you know you are not going to be dealing with the person running the "host" - if you can call it that - directly.

I would disagree with that. People who don't know much about hosting probably use their ISP to host their site and pay through the nose for it. Most people are will to pay a reasonable amount for their site to be hosted and most of those seeking bargains know that they are taking a risk. :)

It is important to differentiate between the a reseller account and the company with a similar name. The quality of the supplier determines how good the hosting is going to be. Reseller accounts aren't in themselves bad things, it's more how people use them. :)

Agreed. Its usually always a site that has a very poorly designed banner (Something thrown together to make a quick buck) then the rest of the page looking as if it was designed by a few professionals.

In the above statement, TJR, are you referring to the webspace that accompanies the original Internet service connection deal or are you talking about buying additional hosting from the ISP?
