Well well well.
I installed Miranda and am able to login to msn.
I exit miranda and try messenger, and nop. Same error.
I reopen Miranda and still am able to login.

I got no firewall, couldn't of blocked msn.

yay, I fixed my msn problem

I installed trillian and it too could not connect.
Upon checking it's error log, it said to check date/time.
And indeed, I set it to 2006 instead of 2007 yesterday after my mobo's cmos got cleared.

Fixed the date, tried msn messenger and I can now connect.
Case solved
