A good "SEO strategy" is to just build the site with relevant content and not worry about using lame-brain tactics to try and boost your search engine score. It's all a bunch of nonsense.
Definitely. But at the same time SEO has become so sophisticated and specialized that the traditional way of back linking as much as possible and generating artificial traffic aren't working any longer. In fact, Google has become so specialized on checking on that that some of it could work counter-productive and even lead to penalties if one doesn't know about it. Think the art of SEO has become sophisticated enough to employ SEO consultants on the job, or to at least study some of the latest SEO strategies before one jumps out to promote a Website.I think all companies now need to do some SEO work in order to get the rankings they deserve. Seems a bit sad that they now have to do more when many companies services are better.

Me too. But is it my imagination but Google search engine itself is coming up with worse and worse search results along the lines of supposed to put the most relevant and valuable results first but ends up with something less than that. There are more junk results pushed to the top of the results than ever before.
As a heavy search engine user, when I conduct a search, I want to be pointed to relevant results, and sites that actually feature the content that I'm searching for... not some lame brain nonsense site where the "webmaster" has spent a ---- ton of money trying to fool search engines with bogus keywords and nonsense backlinks. They're not stupid.
