cPanel is more famous and more well known.It is almost the same case with Windows.They are both very well-known and therefore they are able to win over competitors even when those competitors offer better services or functions(eg. Windows VS Linux,cPanel VS Directadmin)

Well,I must say , we use directadmin for over a year now, and we are still on the hosting market A lot of people decide to go for directadmin because it simply is the best control panel .
