yours doesn't have that.

For MySQL to work with PHP, MySQL must be compiled before PHP is installed and if its done the wrong way around or without MySQL you have to re-compile PHP.

PS:GET OFF THAT RAQ!

There really isn't much configuring to do. It's up to your host to do it anyway.

Just get them to actually setup mysql on the server.

<edit>

I just noticed. Your hosted on a raq... ewww.
the admin said it wasn;t hosted on rackshack. it was hosted on a special offer from digitalprinceton.net.... he got 600gb data transfer but he shared with his patner so 300gb each.

I never said it was either.

I said your hosted on a [Cobalt] RaQ. They have a slow cpu...

Not to mention they can only handle up to 512 MB RAM and ide hard disks.

They're cheap, and fine for static pages, but if you get a lot of dynamic pages it'll really kill the thing.

Exactly. My forum is quite a bit faster on my new server (P3 850 MHz--soon to be dual P3 1 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 36 GB SCSI drive). What a difference an SCSI drive makes.

Anyway, back to trenz's problem...
