well they are abit on the high ..

i would personally only charge $350 per Mbit of quality bandwidth ... or $200 per mbit of cogent/williams

However those prices arn't too bad

If i were upgrading, I'll buy a new comp and colo at my work. but im too lazy to do so.

Hmmm, why does everyone think the Internet is ran off cheap sub $3,000.00/100 Mbps connections??

Umm ... cogent are uping there prices soon ... and

i would expect to pay between $125 and $350 per mbit for bandwidth

MFN / Verio at bottom ... going up to Sprint / UUNET at top

About time they jacked the prices a little (or a lot more).

I would think yahoo would be better then your local network operations center (better backbone connections etc). When was the last time you seen yahoo down?? That's what you pay for! :)

I think it was a server reboot, but it was still down.

A server reboot?? I'm talking about the actual connection. It's my understanding that they have a few freebsd boxes (10+), so I don't think a server reboot would cause that. :confused2 Maybe a routing (or other) problem between your ISP and them??

Rumour has it that they're being raised to $60.00/mbps.

Honestly, though I'd take it as a grain of salt because it's just a rumour so anything could happen...:p
