*.*.kg expires?

I was just playing with the "whois" function at domain.kg, and it appears that each registered domain under there servers have a year before it expires!

Mine show as:
Record created: Tue Oct 23 07:26:49 2001
Record last updated on Sun Dec 16 10:46:10 2001
Record expires on Wed Oct 23 07:26:49 2002

Is it really true that each domian has a year before its removed from the network?

Not that we (us @ the board) know of, its a "subdomain" so I don't think it expires.

I think you have to upgrade the records every year or something, i don't know. No one has had these domains for like a year yet.
