Ok, i know this has been around for quite some time, but i really recommend namecheap.com, they are really good. My latest domain, I registered with them, and it was up in only 18 hours! and for u that does't want to do the Namerserv thing, u can use theirs... they are good.

not sure how fast godaddy.com was, but i registered a domain around 8 at night, and it was working by the time i was up and around the next morning.

well the time after the registration is in association with the update of the NSI registry so the registrars do not have an important role on it
