I hate Microsoft.

I'm having trouble with my 360. The day my warrenty ran out, it goes wrong. Get 3 red lights, indicating a internal hardware problem. Coincidence? Unlikely.

Keagle,

Im sure you know this, but 360s extended their originally 90 day warranty to a year ;-) Hopefully you are only on your 91st day

Nop, i'm on my 377th now. It was on my 365th it broke. :( If you bought it on a leap year do you get an extra days warrenty? Was it a leap year last year? Although, even if it was, I still need another 11days. -.-

The problems go beyond Live. You would not believe how many xbox and xbox360 systems are being sent back once they reach the age of about 1 years old. I definitely recommend the Wii over these pieces of junk.

The Wii is if you want to be a child. The Xbox 360 is if you want to be an adult.

I have an original Xbox 360 with no problems.

Mine is yet to give me any problems whatsoever, and it's been a year+ since I purchased it.

That's just stupid..

What console you play doesn't make you 'childish' or 'an adult'. Last time I checked, most if not all, consoles had games series such as Barbie, Powerpuff Girls, etc. Also the last time I checked, most, if not all, consoles had 'adult' titles such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, etc etc.

As for customer service and their policies, I've also heard Sony have some pretty rough policies with their PSP, anyone had any good or bad dealings?

You have to admit that Nintendo consoles usually do have more family friendly games, but I knew this when I bought the Wii because it's fun regardless of the smaller percentage of mature themed games.

I'm hoping Manhunt2 will be great for the Wii, and Project H.A.M.M.E.R. looks really interesting. I really hope that we can get some games that utilize the controls and cater to the same crowd that Xbox360 and PlayStation3 aim at.

I think the best gaming experience this generation is going to be owning at least two of the big three. Currently I own an Xbox 360 and a Wii, and soon I hope to own a PS3. If you really love videogames, you enjoy good games regardless what system they're available on -- as opposed to being an ignorant fanboy, like some of the people in the "What Games Are You Playing" thread .

In this apartment, between my roommates and me, we have 2 Wii's, 2 Xboxs, 1 Xbox 360, 3 PS2's, and a ton of PCs.

What do you think gets the most play?

[wii...by a LOT]

I just hate the presumption that a game has to have a certain kind of graphic, be grim/violent/sexual/whatever to be considered "adult". Creativity shouldn't = automatic assumption of childishness. If you're going to assume that, I'm going to assume that Wii is for people who have friends and Xbox/Ps3 are for people who don't. Same line of thinking?

As for saying 'true gamers don't stick to one console' etc.. Well, I've tried every console on the market actually quite extensively, and GC/Wii/DS have always won hands down. I do have a really unhealthy WoW addiction too though ;).

I don't see why you would be offended at the thought of someone saying that, generally speaking, Nintendo games aren't "adult" games? Just because they aren't adult themed doesn't mean they aren't fun and/or enjoyable for adults. Mario and the gang aren't adult games anymore than Madagascar is an adult movie but they're both entertaining even for those of us older than ten years old (at least according to our birth certificates :)).

I don't really get the creativity equaling childishness part, aren't all games creative regardless of genre? The no friends analogy makes even less sense, care to explain?

All game systems have certain markets that they cater to. Xbox 360 has lots of shooters and action games, PlayStation is gonna have JRPGs by the boat load, Nintendo is going to have family friendly games, and I'm sure they will all have touches of everything in between with multiplatform titles. This is why I think that a real fan of videogames enjoys all systems because they all have unique offerings.

Oh yes, I can see a person playing Resident Evil and fighting with the wii.. up, down, to the side.. very exciting!

No, adult/smut/shameless porn games, generally aren't very creative, its not like they sell on creativity.

new Sega console?

As far as Microsoft customer service goes... they're a big corp. it's bound to be bad.

I called to cancel xbox live and was told that was done. I was charged for another year, and called back. After about 20 minutes of explaining "I cancelled, the card was still charged" they finally understood and it was reversed.

I loved my dreamcast. Can't beat the original Crazy Taxi on that...except in the arcade ;)

Sonic the HedgeHog was the best one. Number 3 was the best one I think, with Tails being able to join you.
