adsense has been working is still is working fine on all my websites. You might have some Java issues on your pc. Google doesn't ban consumer/residential IP's .

yes they really work if u do things fine... and have a good site with good traffic.

but other people see it (because i still get clicks) and i dont even see ads on this site.
