Gathering info for VPS/Dedi reseller

I am looking at picking up a reseller package for Dedicated and VPS servers as an extension of my existing shared hosting service, that way I can offer VPS and Dedicated Server arrangements to my customers as well as shared hosting.

Would prefer providers that forbid as little as legally possible. Forbidding the obvious hacking/child porn/copyright infringement type stuff is fine, it's the providers that restrict the types of content and traffic I am concerned about as they limit marketability of these units.

Having talked to someone who has such a package before, he essentially gets a dealer price from his upstream provider for each unit's monthly rate, and then is free to mark up/down the prices as he sees fit and pocket the difference.

Feel free to offer, perhaps we can work out an arrangement. It is also very likely that as my shared hosting business expands I may purchase additional dedicated units through this arrangement for my own use as a shared hosting provider.

They have a great dedicated reseller plans and you don't need to pay for them or make a deposit.

I recommend Burst.net for VPS reselling. It's the cheapest. But they marked my application as a fraud. Maybe because i am from Sri Lanka :(
 
To resale vps I would say check out igxhost.com, servercomplete.com, Burst.net, jaguarpc.com and up2vps.com.

To resale dedicated servers I would say check out singlehop.com

Like I said I might eventually resell a couple of dedis to myself for shared hosting, but this thread is for getting a dedi/vps reseller package that way I can offer them to my hosting customers and add a hot market to my capabilities as a provider.

Makes sense. I was thinking it would be like how a car dealer always uses a model of car they are selling or have sold in the past as their company cars. They would only have to pay the usual price from the factory for said car, just instead of it being sold to an end-user with markup they use it themselves.

Either way it'd be quite a while before I was in need of new servers for my own use, the two I have still have plenty of capacity left and I would like to keep my servers spread out across several providers and datacenters to best-fit the needs of my customers and make sure that any single failure will not result in an extended time period without at least some way to maintain presence and keep customer access alive.

The intent of this is moreso to be able to offer VPS and Dedicated servers to my customers that have needs beyond what my shared servers are capable of, any influence in future shared host arrangements as a result of datacenter relations are just a side effect.
