Hi... I hope someone can help me out here. I'm looking for the following

* 50mb or more free webspace
* no ads, popups, banners
* unlimited bandwith
* ftp upload

Because I made a site with a lot of pics, I'm almost over my free webspace, now I want to put my pictures on another free webspace, because I have to update my site constantly, so the pics keep coming. I looking around the internet for free hosts, but I can't find ONE that has what I'm looking for. Like for instance, Web1000, that doesn't work because I'm from Belgium. I really need help.. Anyone any idea?
Also I checked most of the webhosts that are mentioned here on the site, but no.. no luck... The biggest problem of course is that it has to be free.. I promised myself I wouldn't pay for this hobby of mine..

Visit http://www.unlimband.com/ for more information about why there is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth.

There is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth or data transfer.

I don't get it, if someone offers you unlimited bandwith, that means you can upload as many as you want right? Well that's what I always thought, but hey I'm not a pc specialist, just a beginner!
If someone offers you 5000mb bandwith, is that a lot if you have to upload like 250 pics of 130kb each? Just once I have to upload it, and afterwards I'll upload maximum 60 pics or so... I hope you are understanding about the things that I'm saying.. And the link you've written down doesn't work..
Thanks for replying though!!

Unlimited bandwidth is defined as transfering a limitless amount of data from their service to your visitors.

Because their are physical limits to the lines that transfer the data and to the servers themselves. This cannot exist.

Unmetered bandwidth does exist but, still isn't a safe bet.

So actually, when I put pictures on it, there is no transfer at all right? I mean, the visitors can't download stuff, like when I put mp3 files on it...
Hope I understood it correctly!!

First of all, it isn't bandwidth - its transfer. Bandwidth is the measure of speed. Unlimited bandwidth is impossible. So is unlimited transfer. Face it, who would offer you something 'unlimited'? There's no such thing. And 5GB is alot for a free host, most of them allow between 1-3GB. 250 pics of 130kb each, why do you need them for?

There is. You upload them is considered using up transfer. But not all hosts count in FTP upload transfer.

Oh and no host will probably allow MP3 files (esp. if not made by you)

I need those pics for my website, I made a website of a band, see my "www", so to give what the visitors want, I have to put pictures on my site, and I have to constantly update my site with the latest pictures...

I DON'T GET IT, when I upload my images once, let's say I upload the pics I have now, (I have no idea what size the transfer is then) The transfer is going to "count" it once right? And every time I upload the latest pictures I get, than it just continues. Probably you get some size of transfer a month?.. I'm really bad at expressing myself in english so I'm sorry if you don't have a clue of what I'm talking about.

Ok lets say you upload 2 50kb files, you will waste 100kb transfer.

Then when someone goes to your website and view those images, you will waste another 100kb transfer and so on.

Most sites don't allow you hosting only images...

God what a ridiculous system is this. Can't believe it works like this. So my problem still not solved!! Damn! Thanks anyways you guys!

Care to explain how you define people that are just explaining the reality of things to somebody as "whining" ?

I'd really like to know.
