Any Windows hosts around here?

I'm considering switching hosts... I won't be able to for a while, but sometime early next year I should be... if I see anything good here then I'll keep it in mind.

Anyhow, requirements (these are approximate minimums, you can go a bit under, I suppose, but not much):
250 MB space
6 GB bandwidth
CGI, Perl, PHP, and ASP
4 MySQL databases
Some sort of control panel (preferably Plesk, but I'm not picky)
10 subdomains
FTP access
Email forwarding
Uptime rate guarantee (this is screwing me over with my current host), 99.5% or better would be good...

About $6 a month... I know I'm asking a lot, so you can go a bit over, but try to stay close to the parameters here... thanks ^_^

If ya don't find any round here you can always try http://www.webhostingtalk.com in their request forum. They have alot of paid hosts there and they bring alot of offers to the table. =) GL with your quest.

I could use a reseller account instead. In which case the requirements are something like this:

2 GB space
12 GB bandwidth
CGI, Perl, PHP, and ASP
15 MySQL databases
Some control panel
Unlimited subdomains
FTP access
Email forwarding
Uptime rate guarantee, at least 99%

For that I think I can pay about $30...

Like before, there's some degree of flexibility, but don't go too far off...

(edit: I checked around, and I guess those requirements were kinda insane... I changed them around a bit to be more realistic.)

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention... I need support for either ASP or CGI/Perl forums. (One or the other is good enough.)

Is Mysql a must? I don't find that nor PHP to be too common among Windows hosts.

Agreed, from your post, it looks like you need a linux host more then a windows.

Windows are "ONLY" really required when you need asp.net or ms access and all those ms modules.

ASP isn't all that common among Linux-type hosts, though...

Correct, but www.worldzonepro.com will enable it for you if you want it. It costs extra per month though.

btw, i wonder why this forum doesn't have its own domain name. visitors will find it easier to get here as well as remember its name. That's why WHT outplay you guys.

worldzonepro seems to be out of my price range, though...

teppi, you think $6 is too little? Well, that's why I'm allowing some flexibility there... What are the prices on any good Windows hosts you know? As long as they're reasonably close, I think I'll scrounge up the cash somehow...

btw, if you're not looking for a w2k host, then at $6 you may have more choice

w2k host is always more expensive than linux/unix ones.

Yes, it is our reseller basic plan.

And although you can put up a perl/cgi forum, I suggest you go with a php based forum instead like invision board, phpbb.

I say this because usually it takes up less resources and loads quicker at times of high usage.

Invision Board and PHPBB is included free.
Also, there is an easy install script for it in the control panel.
