A Web Hosting Directory

Sorry if in wrong spot.

OK so it seems there is way to much saturation in the hosting market right now. So I am just going to stay local.

So here it is on the line.

I know most web hosting directories are paid, and the ones that are they seem to cost wayyyyyy to much to list in IMHO. If a web hosting directory was to start up new and just charge say 10-20 USD a year would it be worth your time to post your web site in it ?

What would set this apart would be different CLASS of web hosting
IE: you would be catgagorized based on:
time in business
realtime uptime stats from an external source.
Reviews from WHT and other popular web hosting forums
Customer satisfaction based off your sites forum clients (if available)
if you are a overseller or not

For a brand new directory, I would be expecting to be listed for free or for a max of $3.
Once the directory had reached a peak of good PR etc, then I would pay if worth it.

It would need to be free firstly for hosts to submit. the ones charging high for submission have a good rep and classed as reliable.

What is the main idea for the directory? I have seen webhostdir and that is one of the best. Why create another one?

It is not difficult to create directory - more difficult make it as popular as say webhostdir is
