why can't i change the main nameservers using zoneedit?

are there any places that will let me change the nameservers at any time? someone else registered my domain for me under his account and i don't want to have to go through him every time i need to change the nameservers... at zoneedit it seems like you can change the nameservers but you can't... theirs are always there and can't be deleted...

I think you can only do that through your registrar.
