what i want to be able to do in linux is the same in windows, download something double click it and leave it. With rpm's you have to set up sources ect.. its a bitch

Not if you're using the GUI.

Download, double-click, it's installed.

Of course this only applies to desktops and workstations, but you should expect a server to be more work anyway.

well, yes, I was reffering to my desktop, not my server, I probably should have said that. Whats a GUI? Thanks.
