Register both and have the .com domain name redirect to the other one.

Both because the .com is more important, delicio.us moved the site to delicious.com. Redirect the "clever domain" to the .com version.

I would buy both. It is better to have them then not to have them. I would use the .com as your main domain and use the other to redirect people to your main site.
