I am thinking about selling my computer but having a hard time coming up with a good price. I have been searching around on eBay, but I find that a hard way to determine the price of something.

-ASUS Motherboard w/the works [integrated audio, 6 SATA ports, 2 PATA]
-AMD Athlon 64 3800+
-1.5gb DDR PC3200 RAM [Corsair XMS memory]
-2x 120gb SATA HDDs [seagates]
-AGP 8x geforce 6800 OC w/256mb GDDR memory
-ATi TV Tuner
-Pioneer DVD+/- 16x [only 5 months old]
-Case complete with 6 fans, window and pretty lights.

Almost all of the hardware isn't any older than about 2 years or so.

[No, before one asks, I am not OFFERING to sell it here. I don't want to sell it online. I want to know what price range this is worth humans in my town that may want it]

In AUD

Motherboard (version?): $50
CPU: $40
RAM: $60
HDD: $100
GFX Card (DDR2 or DDR3?): $50
DVD+/- : $70
Case (brand?): $150

Total AUD: $520
Total USD: $470

I was shooting for around $500 which is what it sounds like you guys think. I appreciate the feedback.

sep,

I honestly don't remember if the GDDR memory is 1 or 2, but I *want* to say GDDR2.

The ASUS motherboard I don't remember either, and am too lazy to look.

$350-$400

$350-400 is realistic in the US.

$500 sounds reasonable with a custom case and 6 fans. Nice video card too

If you were selling it, I would probably give that.

In Australia, youd get no more than $250US for such a system.

PCs arent worth much here, especially in Victoria.

But he doesn't want to sell it online so it's irrelevant what ebayers would pay for it :)

Matt, aim for 500$, but realistically expect to get about 400$ for it.
Or you may want to sell it in pieces. Maybe you'll make a bit more.

Wow, I would get that computer for $500 anyday.

I just brought a 900MHZ, 512MB, 40GB computer 2 months ago for $600...
