virus protectioin for email via script....

hi,

has anybody set up virus protection for emails?
i know my university email got it... but i would luv to set it up on my domain, too.

i found the script at:
http://www.amavis.org/

and i think i would install following avp (cause it's free)
Kaspersky Lab AntiViral Toolkit Pro (AVP)

now i got following question:
am i allowed to modify /etc/sendmail.cf
and which host would allow me to modify that?
i guess i am not able to do that on a coboalt raq...
so tera-byte would not allow that... right?

looking for you help. which host would let me install it.
and has anybody of you done that? any hints for installation?

if you got your own server, u can modify the files on it. but if you have a virtual hosting, then you can't modify the webserver files.

Also modifying certain files on a raq voids the warranty on it. so u may want to check on that too.

... i just got virtual hosting and don't need that much space and bandwith to get my own server...

thought it would be possible on non raq-servers (e.g. linux-servers)
