Yes but I found that sometimes the .SWF would be larger than the movie file (in size), but it worked great, I used a tril software that only let you convert so many files.

I use Swish Video. It's got a decent price tag ($49.95 USD) on it, but it's insanely easy. Back when I used to have money I used to be able to keep up with some of these things, but this one if the best proggy I've ran accross to do the job. I used to create alot of things in Vegas Video using uncompressed avi, then convert it to flash and got stuff down to 250kb or less with amazing quality. Not sure if this helps at all, but it's always nice to contribute!
