Urgh. Loading TTF Fonts Externally on Page.

I can't get this to work! I would like my text to display in a special font, (mostly as experiment for now) by using the "embed TTF file" thing with CSS2 and it isn't working. I've tried both ways:

Codephobia.com's way
http://www.codephobia.com/tutorials/view.php3?idnum=6&pagenum=2

and

Microsoft's way
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/author/fontembed/font_embed.asp

It just displays as Times New Roman or the secondary font no matter what I try.
Has anyone gotten this to work??? I have IE6 and on Microsoft it works but for me it doesnt. I am really getting ticked off by this Any help is *greatly* appreciated

Oh, and by the way, I have tried WEFT, and it gives the same code as on Microsoft's site (which doesn't work).

Could you provide a link to your site? It sounds to me like everything should be working. You might just have to put a link at the top of your website that says "You should have XXXXX font to properly view this page. Please click here to download XXXXX font."

Jan, any news on what you emailed me about?
Maybe the font thing has to be uploaded to a webserver for this to work? Also I heard not all fonts work? :confused2
