Thinking of Getting a Laptop

spiralfive said:
If I were you, i'd get a PowerBook. I got my first mac 4 days ago, an iMac G5, and it's great. But, it's a pain to get used to everything during the first day or two (or three). :) Everything is better on a Mac. It takes using one for a while to see the difference. One thing to keep in mind though, it's a Windows world. Make sure any software you need, or might consider using, is also on the Mac or has an equivalent alternative.
Or get virtualPC if needed.

Still haven't gotten one. Financial trouble.

But it's probably going to be for a desk, and occasional trips. I just don't want to be tied down to a desktop any longer.

My laptop is one year old now and has the following
Its a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo A
Its great, its always done the jobs i need, wether it be photoshopping and internet browsing, or multimedia playing, or work.
It cost less than the nearest priced mac laptop and absoloutly smashed the (more expensive) mac spec wise.
top notch when i bought it, spent ages laptop hunting.

Please, do the world a favour, don't buy a mac.
