THE Australian wife of a US marine killed in Iraq will honour her husband's final wish and bring their three babies home to Melbourne.
Sgt Michael Bitz, 31, was one of several marines killed in an Iraqi ambush near the town of Nasiriya on Sunday.
He died without getting the chance to meet his one-month old twins, Taylor and Caleb.
The Iraqis had pretended to surrender before opening fire on Sgt Bitz and his comrades.
Sgt Bitz had planned to quit the marines after the war and move his family to Australia.
