Most of the best free services are gone.. most recent are netcat, kilio and nvphost...

i think it's due to the abuse of this services.. lot of people do not understand the possibility offered by this host...

i ask you what about it.. it is due to our abuse, or cos host understand that paid hosting is more $$$?

See if people didn't use warez, and abused the servers the free hosts would probably would still have those hosts....
 
why do ppl insist on having warez sites and mp3 sites there are plenty of file sharing utilities out there where you can find and download everything in one place

When will people learn not to abuse free webhosting?
If you _must_ distribute warez then stick to a p2p client or set up your own goddamn server. I'm sick of hosts getting in trouble for the content of their users.
Far too many hosts have gone under because of warez pups.

Heck..it's themeselves theyre hurting!! When the hosts go down, so do theyre sites..
 
true but
a good warez site is usually mirrored at several different locations to insure that there's very little downtime.
Honestly i don't see why people even botehr with warez/porn sites anymore. It's far easier to use kdx/irc or even kazaa to get your goods.
 
Yea, at least that way it doesnt cause a strain for the rest of the world...it still is wrong though.
 
I agree with every one of you on that one! That's for sure and hell if someone wanted a warez site just buy a paid host and do it theirselves but unforunalty some paid hosts dont allow that but then again I agree with yall on that one!
 
And clearly, they don't realize that not a single soul gives a d*** about their stupid sites, except their 8-year old friends.
 
i stopped using free services a while ago - i was fed up with poor service, dodgy features, and rubbish tech support. :p

I use www.34sp.com 15mb,php ,cgi ,mysql ,500mb transfer ,domain host, and shell for free if you need it. £15/year. Figure it out in dollars. And no i don't work for them :devious2:
 
i am 13 year old and i dont really have the cash to pay for hosting. Now i joined up with one-eyed-ediot to provide a really cool site with a whole lot of content and more to come.

I used to be on jaha.dk alone but now me and one-eyed-ediot are on paid hosting. jaha.dk is getting slower by the minute. They are being abused since you are allowed 200 mb most if you run a serious site.

Now the WAREZ is taking over. Sometimes it is so slow that my redirect page takes 5 minutes to load.

Free hosting is going down. Just because people abuse it. Most free hosts that first review a site before hosting do better. Most of the time tey dont allow so many members so they keep the band with down and the abuse can not go on becuase it can easily be monitored by a few admins.

Obviously useless if the best server that one can get is a 486 (which makes Portland look like the Apache Longbow of the Web).
