The best bulletin board? It's all a matter of opinion.

Personally, I prefer phpBB 2.0..., even when I compared phpBB2 to vBulletin 2.0, the phpBB 2.0 code was written a LOT better than vBulletins. But it's not finished, and people who don't know much about php in general shouldn't use it.

Anyway, of all of the forums on that list, I would vote for iKonBoard 3.0.

Thk! Indeed, I know iB has MySQL support now already. However, it supports text log is a plus for me since I have some web space without database support.

I have only user expirience with vB, but it's the best from what I've used.
XMB, phpBB and Burning Board are all verry good free boards, and all of them come close to vB.
