If you could host other people...

If you could host other people would you need or want a reseller account, or would you be happy to just use a special service where you use another unbranded host and have your users have accounts there, but you provide the support.

I was planning a service where people can host other people totally anonamously without needing WHM. I would have a free service and a couple of paid services.

If the control panel I made had enough functionality would you still want a reseller account? Would you be interested in such a service?

The idea is that other people can register and get accepted (or I might write an invite system) where they can start their own free-hosting without a reseller, it would have none of my logos so that people registering wouldn't know who was actually hosting them and the support would be done by their host. :classic2:

And I'm pretty sure that NinHost is going to haunt me for the rest of my life. :wink2:

People who wanted to start a free-hosting service could register for the following:

Example ONLY:
-up to 50 users
-subdomain hosting only
-unbranded (your users cannot see us)
-can add own logo to signup pages and our control panel
-our ads (google) on signup pages and our control panel
-users can choose (or be given) 25,50,75 or 100MB plans

Paid example:
(as above, but with)
-up to 100 users
-domain + subdomain
-can add own logo, colourscheme, and footer
-no ads on any pages
-free php scripts + templates for you and your users


All accounts include:
-signup page
-server info page
-admin panel
-user panel
-suspend users
-delete users
-auto-signup or applications to be approved
-can place own ads on site
-sample TOS and AUP

Good few months unforunately, a lot of work to make something like that.
