Sun Aquiring MYSQL?

Anyone else heard of this? Doesn't sound too good IMO, as I've never been a Java fan, but yeah.

It's not really news. Dates back to January 17th.

Sun has owned it for a while now. No change - it will just now have commercial backing. SUN has never really killed any product they have bought so I suspect that they will start competing MYSQL vs Oracle in the db space.

Just my thoughts..

Did a forum search, didn't find anything on it, and for some -odd- reason, this just came to my attention. 1 billion dollar acquisition

According to their news, I don't think its final yet.

Edit: Unless I misread/missed something. All I saw was a press release stating that they were, not that they actually have yet.
