i tried free.hostingextreme, but you dont get a mysql at the forums :( so many asked, but i heard noone gets it :confused:

does anyone know a host with
php
mysql
ftp
no top banners/framebanners (tripod.co.uk)
good mb and bandwidth

well, i got sites now for over an year and never a *big* problem with free hosts
ectually, never even close to a big problem thx to good hosts
 
amzweb.net might be your answer.
yes, you have to post in the forums.
yes, you can get all your asking for.
if your goign to have a forum on it, it has to be phpbb2, no exceptions.
read the rules, and faq before asking a silly question like how many posts do i need for this or that, because amz will never give them to you.
you have to make ten posts before you can apply for an account.

i have been in the process of migrating my site there, and am extremely happy with it.

they have several restrictions on scrips, but all are fair, and acceptable generally.

Well, I can already name you one unfair and unacceptable rule already. :D The fact that they allow only phpBB2 boards is already a stupid rule. :confused2

I signed up when they relaunched a few days ago... now it seems that they are taking the signup page down for a while to improve it or something. And it's FTP and page loading time is like almost 10 times faster than Tripod UK...

Tripod UK may sound reliable but they've been down for over 1 week and I think that's too much.

Go for Digital-host.net when the signups are up. ;)
 
i would assume the point is to keep lameoids from using illegal copies of ubb...

and to keep from the drain of some boards on the resources.

i don't make the rules.
in fact, i wish i could use the paid copy of ubb i have on it, but thems the breaks

you want it for free, you have to compromise.

You can't login to the Control Panel yet as it hasn't been completed [to be soon] but FTP is up for you to upload ur files...

jon has been very busy, im working on an automatic db script that should speed things up, after jons done moving the servers post again, and if u dont get one after awhile PM me there and i will setup one for u.

i know how too, but i would never do it, as the host loses money. If i ever caught one of my users doing that i would ban them for life.
