search engine script which can search dynamic files like php ?

hi ... does anyone know where i can get a free script written in either perl/php which can index and search files like php for a site(like ... search the parsed one and not the script itself) because like my site is now in php but the search scripts i have can't search php files(esp w/ variables at the end of the url) and they only search the php file(with all the codes and stuff)

also i've heard that you can like put variables in another way in the url

example like ..
first it was
http://hey.com/whatever.php?name=me
and like you can put as
http://hey.com/whatever.php/name/me
or sth similar
but ... do most search engine index the php document itself or the parsed one?

AFAIK that's not another way but the same GET method - server's softare is configured to treat all "/" as :

"?"
"&"
and "="

it's a trick to help crawlers other than google get through the websites

yeah but do the search engine index the
parsed php files or non-parsed ones?

example i include a file ... for the context
so...
it won't be able to search that if they only search raw php

you will have to look at them closely coz few are explained well

to get the HTML produced by php use http://..... to read the info (so the serve gives you the output. If you use dir/file you just get the unparsed code.
