Revamp.net closing

I'm sorry to announce that revamp.net will be shutdown on or soon after December 31, 2001.

Reasons for this are primarily financial. I just don't want to pay for people to send me rude e-mails anymore.

During the last two months of operation support will be very limited and your account data will be available upon request if you wish to host the service somewhere else.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

They've been around as mach.org and then revamp.net since 1998, offering free remotely hosted services without any ads. IMHO easily the best site for remotely hosted scripts. Their time finally came I guess. But at least they're nice enough to give 2 months notice and make account data available.

I also received the email. I guess they realize offering for free just isn't possible.
