Which pop-up under sponsor is best for a free host? I used to deal only directly with advertisers, but some recent problems is forcing me to find a sponsor. I was looking at pop-uptraffic and pop-upsponsor (i emailed pop-up traffic and they said its okay that i am a free host, but a few years ago they refused to pay me because of that). Does anyone know which pay free hosting sites? Thanks..
 
Can I get some input from some current free hosts? You guys thing pop-up traffic won't pay? The told me in an email that they will.. (i asked if its okay to place ads on free hosting sites, and they said yes).
 
sorry, thats what i meant, popuptraffic not popupsponsor, sorry. good luck anyways, pop up traffic do pay.
 
If you've contacted PopUpTraffic and it's okay I'd also suggest contacting PopUpSponsor. Then if they approve you aswell put them both in a rotation...

An example rotation script could be AdOutput ( http://www.adoutput.com/ ), then you're not putting all your eggs in one basket, so to speak. :)

Popupsponsor is down now.. are there any others that pay freehosting sites (or that you have seen on free hosting sites?)?

Apparently I was just notified (by ron) that I should remove the code for pop-uptraffic and that my aco---- will be terminated. hmm. anybody know any other sponsors?
 
amelen, these ad companies take a huge risk accepting you in the first place. If you take a look at their terms of service, you will see what types of sites are unacceptable.

Okay, I know you have your own TOS in place, but how often do you monitor what all of your users have on their sites? You probably have far too many to check. But these companies have logs to determine where traffic is coming from, they only need to check a few random ones with high traffic and just may see links to/or illegal content etc on a couple. A couple is too many....

Alternatively, one of their ad merchants may have stumbled across such a site where their ad was shown and deemed it inappropriate.
 
I delete sites weekly (i go through them all) aswell as having an auto system to delete potential warez sites, etc... And pouptraffic for instance, allows many other free hosts, like hostultra, etc..

popup windows dont send a referer url
they must have found something else that they didnt like
ive had an account with them for 3 months and no problems yet

although before i recieved my first check i was unsure if they would terminate my account at the last minuite
ive heard of stories about popuptraffic freezing accounts but not telling the webmasters until they ask where there check is
 
Arg.. my last sponsor.. webhitsdirect, after server maintance, just erased almost a grand of earnings. Now i am completly screwd. Does anyone know any more companies?

pop-up traffic doesn't allow me
popupsposor is only counting 25% of my unique impressions (as compared to other networks, not my own stats)

As long as you have a published policy against obscene and illegal content you are welcome to use PopUpTraffic.

Send an email noting that you are a free host and the admin will comment your account and contact you if he/she finds and innappropriate content that has slipped past you.
 
I never had any emails about this, and Ron notified me that I will not get paid. Btw...


and as for the policy, i allready have one, and have had one for a while.

Your account was not marked as being a free host and when the admin checked it he found warez, pirate MP3's, porn dialers automatically downloading, and other such material.

If you'd like to open a new account you may do so but you need to keep a better eye on your accounts. The admin will notify you if he finds innappropriate material but it needs to be the exception and not the rule.
