Personal proxy hosting

I originally went for paid hosting, but then my paypal got blocked and now i cant send money anymore...

Let me explain. I need a personal proxy hosting. The website will be used by me only. It will be under directory lock at all times so that noone else can access the site.

I will be using a CGI proxy which uses a maximum of 7% of processor on 2.53 Core2Duo processor for less then a second while optimizing javascripts (rare occation). Other then that, i shall be using a proxy caching script that i designed to use minimum CPU (does not show up at all) to temporary store files ranging upto 587MB onto the server before timing out (another feature to lower CPU usage). I originally designed it for a VPS running on 128MB ram and shared core so it doesn't show up on deds.

So i need space of about 1GB and 5~8GB Bandwidth (my net is slow so thats enough for me). However, PHP port 80 open and Perl support is needed (cpanel hosting or DA or kloxo panel hostings are ok).


Free hosting is great!

Post2host is ok too.

Since i know some PHP, i might be able to help in that sector too (hosting4coding? )

The real issue with this is that how do we know your going to be using the proxy for legit reasons, and not for piracy or other disgusting acts like viewing child pornography?.

What do you need this proxy for, especially when there are hundreds of free proxies on the web?.

The real issue with this is that how do we know your going to be using the proxy for legit reasons, and not for piracy or other disgusting acts like viewing child pornography?.

That would be cause i need the CGI proxy and proxy caching on the same account for the proxy caching script to work. As for your first question, i could use nameless proxy to view those or do smt illegal. I wont be using a account where my name will be there!

The proxy would overload the VPS. It works on deds better, so i am looking for hosting on dedicated server with atleast 2 cores

You do realize most free hosts are on VPSs, right? Only a few run on dedicated servers, and those that I have seen so far don't offer proxy hosting.
