partition software

hey,
i running my computer at the moment using win xp and i'm wondering how i can partition my 40gig hard drive into two smaller partitions without using fdisk. is there anything in xp that might work or is there a freeware application out there that will do the job? :confused4

Download Partition Magic and it will do everything for you. Very simple to use

Win2k lets you partition at setup, I would be surprised if XP didnt let you do the same.

The partition magic demo doesn't do anything.

I recommend using QTparted on a Linux live disc. Just as good as PM, only it's opensource and free.

hmmm i'm looking for something to run under windows not linux. i'm also looking for a freeware disk cloning utility that i can burn to cd. its would be must useful when i format my HD and just have to clone to contents of it back.

I don't see what the hell the difference is. It's running off a cd, it's not like you have to install anything.
Also, I highly doubt you'll find anything for free for Windows.
