I came across the announcement for these a couple days ago. It's using OpenBSD as a host OS with child VMs running OpenBSD. So It's like a practical test of OpenBSD's native hypervisor in a production environment.

"We're running dedicated vmd(8) servers to host opinionated VMs.
Follow us on Twitter or Mastodon as other kind people already do."
"Price for one VM is €60 per year, of which €10 is donated to the OpenBSD Foundation. Support is best effort with the expectation of things to sometimes fail, keep in mind vmd(8) is in active development.
It's a good way to get some mileage with vmd(8) while at the same time support OpenBSD."
Also it's fucking cheap
