On GoClick and other options...

GOCLICK

Goclick has yet again decreased our rate by 1/3 its already sad state. As such, we're forced to discontinue our arrangement with them and proceed to new partners. And this after many months of stellar CTR rates ranging from 2-4% on average, sometimes spiking quite high(not solely due to their popup, but lots of placement of their searchbar). Yet, Goclick has seen fit to lower our rate again. I'm beginning to develop a very bad taste for them. Our arrangement with Leadhound to supply leads _again_ to Goclick is still in force and may remain, we've yet to decide.

Has anyone else experienced constantly lowering CPMs from Goclick? It's very frustrating working with them, even though they do consistently pay(although their pay dates keeping getting pushed further and further back).

That was the last straw, though, and I'm glad to be out from that voluntary yoke. Time to take some risks and perhaps undertake some "poorer" type of popups, those which spawn as they seem to be able to pay.

OTHER OPTIONS

Over the past year, and through the latter half of last year, we've been with a number of networks and I'd like to list them here, in the hopes others will find the info interesting and may add to the list.

Goclick.com: Original CPM of $2.50. Ramained that for a number of months, then went down to $1.50. More months, then $0.75. More months, then $0.50 CPM. Single popunder, no spawns.

Leadhound.com: CPA network. $7.00 per lead sent to Goclick. This was simply an option to boost support for Goclick so the CPM wouldn't go down any further. I guess we see how Goclick takes to our enthusiasm for their service. Perhaps its our advertising of this option, but there was perhaps one lead every two months. Keep in mind the lead is a one-time payment and you lose out if that person keeps buying advertising from goclick. Not the best way to do business. Text Links or banners.

Celebritywonder.com: $2.00 CPM - Genearlly reliable payments. Nice support. Single popup, no spawns.

Paypopup.com: $1 CPM (although based on percentage of traffic from certain nations) - Currently running a test period. Appears to be no worse than goClick, especially now, anyway. Single popup, no spawns. Not sure if they pay.

Adscholar.com: $1 CPM general popups, $2 CPM targeted. Can't recall much of this company nor why we don't use them. Probably low tracking rates, compared to other networks.

Found404.com: $5 CPm popups. One of the best for revenue generation I've found, but many, many spawns. Some claim porn(although I've never seen it in the ads themselves). Popup with spawns. Received payments.

AdsCPM.com: $1.25 CPM. Claim a single popup with a single on-exit popup, but spawns never ended. Sounds like a good company and reasonable pay rate if it was only one popup and no spawns. Have not received payments yet.

Popupsponsor.com: $3 CPM. Counts traffic only from certain nations. Currently running trial period. No comment as yet. Single popup, no spawns(one option) or others...

Advertising.com: Various CPA/CPM/CPC I believe. Haven't used for a long time. Found performance was entirely lacking and the system quite brutal and unresponsive.

Bluefishnetwork.com: No idea of pay rate. Looked decent when I originally saw them. Was not accepted in to the network. Is this still running?

Valueclick: CPC, what they call "effective" CPM for their popups, based on opt-in mailing list subscribers. Options provided were not sufficient for our needs. Definitely a good company, however. Reliable payments. Various ad formats.

Reporting.net: Another CPA network. Been a long time since we've dealt with them. No comment.

Click2net.com: CPC. Back when they were an open network, they were quite a good company to deal with. Valueclick's equal. Banners mostly. Reliable payment. I believe their network is closed now.

CJ.com: CPA network. Decent. Reliable payments. If you can make a buck with CPA, CJ is probably a good first stop.

Zonfiy.com: $1.25 CPM. Not joined. No comment.

AdstoClick.com: $1.00 CPM popups. Single popup, no spawns. Interesting company. May use again. Very unique in that they appear to have a lot of advertisers and yet no popups with spawns, to my knowledge. No comment on payment reliability yet.

Focalex.com: $1.00 CPM plus other ad formats. Decent company. No comment on payment reliability. I believe single popup, no spawns. We stopped using this company because of what seemed like very low tracking to us. It's unfortunate the stats update only once per week. Makes trial periods very hard to work out.

Adpowerzone.com: $1.00 CPM "raw"(open for 4 seconds) or better non-raw(open for 20seconds). Does pay. Popup, with lots of spawns. Could not deal with the spawns but otherwise, decent company.

PennyPop: $1 CPM I believe. Popup with lots of spawns. Couldn't deal with that. No comment on payment reliability yet.

Well, that's who we've dealt with, minus a few names whom I don't feel it appropriate to comment on. Please fill in any gaps or add new networks here. I'm always on the lookout for new partners, as I'm sure you all are.

That's a pretty impressive list you got there Matt. It would be nice to have an even longer list to refer to when people come asking about xyz.com, so if anyone can add a few more in the format that Matt has started, please feel free.

If however, you have had bad experiences with a company, simply state that without the cussing thanks. :classic2:

Jan: Exactly my intentions. I was hoping to generate discussion which might lead to new networks/advertisers to investigate. I think it would benefit everyone. I hope more people post on concerning networks not listed here.

I don't know if anyone cares, but I've recently begun to calculate general Tracking Rates for particular networks. This is just based on a raw number of attempts to display the ad and then the actual number of impressions tracked by the network(with their statistics).

Note that this varies depending on many things, the largest I believe being your type of audience(savvy vs. unsavvy - as it relates to "blocking" popups via killers, quick X'ing, whatnot).

For instance,

Goclick.com: 43.34%
CelebrityWonder.com: 16.11%
Focalex.com: 16.64%
Adpowerzone.com(raw): 26.77%

Hopefully that will be informative to some.
