Centova Cast is a professional streaming radio server control panel and hosting management solution, providing complete control over the provisioning and management of your streaming servers.

Its features include:

  • AJAX drag-and-drop media library manager (direct-link demo)
  • AJAX stream home pages (direct-link demo)
  • Built-in track scheduling capabilities (schedule countdowns, pre-recorded shows, jingles, ads, etc.)
  • Built-in track weighting capabilities (heavy rotation, light rotation, etc.)
  • Server-based streaming source support using ices or sc_trans.
  • Feature-rich web-based administrative interface for provisioning and managing streaming servers.

Centova Cast is extremely easy to use for both the administrator and clients. It is a complete, standalone control panel, and does not require any other control panel software on the same server (although it will happily coexist with CPanel, Plesk, and others).

This new version of Centova Cast is a minor update includes the following new features:

  • Added single-sign-on support for user accounts
  • Added option for clients to download zipped server logs for offline processing
  • Added support for enabling/disabling port-80 proxying on per-account basis
  • Added support for internationalized date formats
  • Added support for suppressing metadata on IceCast servers
  • Playlist list in the media library now shows the total track time for each playlist
  • Number of tracks displayed in Recent Tracks widget (and on start page) is now configurable
  • Added experimental account importer for competitors' ShoutCast control panels
  • Icons in administrator's account list now indicate the stream current status (offline, online, or error)
  • Added more distinct Suspend/Unsuspend button in account list
  • Suspended accounts are now slightly faded, sorted last, and have a new icon in the account list
  • Enabled playlists now sort above disabled playlists in media library
  • Disabled playlists are now styled distinctly in media library
  • Assorted minor improvements and fixes

I trialed an earlier version of this and spoke with Steve at Centova about it, it was a huge improvement on any other one I tried then.

If this is the updated version I'll reconsider streaming again, only dropped it due to other operational considerations (too much flaming work on other things to give it any time).

New admin and user panels look good, nice simple manage it stuff, no going overboard. Concentrated on functions rather than going for an arts council grant.

Sorry if I seem excited and I do not know or receive any form of bribe for this (no ones ever offered) I just have liked this panel since I first found it some time ago. Seems to have matured well :)
