need space and advice

what i would like is enough free space for a personal page
so i can upload a couple of gallerys of fractal art.
iam a total newbie so i dont know how much space is needed
i dont mind a small banner or a text link plus i will need a subdomain
am i asking for too much or can sombody help me out.

Pickles, a basic website minus the scripts should fit onto a floppy disk. Any larger and you should look at simplifying your HTML code and reducing your graphic sizes. For a large website, you'll find you should still be able to fit it in to 10MB. The smaller the size of your website the less bandwidth it will use.
