Hi,
I need a host with:

php --> for phpbb forum, for lerning php
mysql --> for phpbb forum
perl --> for my own scripts
more than 10mb
should be fast

bandwidth is not very important, but maybe more than 500mb/month

ads are also not very important, but I don't like popups :) Therefore it should be a textlink a banner or something doesn't pop up to annoy my visitors. :)

So is any host with that features out there in the world? I tried many free hosting services, but they are all not the host I'm searching for.
So please help me finding one....

P.S.: Maybe you ask, why is he so stupid trying to find a free host, with that features. The reason is simple: I'm a 16year old boy, who wants to learn php (maybe mysql later), but doesn't want to spend money on it. :)

dare I suggest a localhost server if you want to learn? its way quicker and saves all the uploading/downloading but if your on anything less than cable its impossible to show the rest of the world.

Anyway if you just want to experiment and whatnot try a localhost server, otherwise, good luck! ;)

If you're only testing, you shouldn't need a phpBB board - not to mention that few, if any, people ever register at boards on free hosts. :confused2

hey, I don't only want to learn. I also want to built my own webside with the stuff I learned. But I don't have a permanent connection like ADSL or something like this (i just have an analog modem) So I NEED a host to post my things on.
By the way: which local-server should I use for mysql and PHP? I don't know one. I use Xitami, but it only supports Perl.

I personally use IIS5.1 myself, just cause I found it a whole lot easier to use than Apache which I totally screwed up on numerous occasions...

Its up to personal preference, I like IIS cause its easy for me to use, but it only comes with Win2000 and XP Pro (possibly with Home, I dont know)

good luck :)

Allright, I should use Apache or something, but I need a HOST! 'Cause I just have a modem, and I can't use a localserver! I know that it would be better to use a localserver, but I can't.

So, does anybody know a host with the features mentioned above?
