Microsoft makes software like IE for Macs. Just cause PC's (windows) and Macs are completely different OSes, it doesn't mean micro$oft won't try to monopolize people who use macs.

How's that? The browser is free..Microsoft pays to have it distributed with various namebrand softwares such as mac...it costs mac nothing...

The browser is free. But the power that comes from web domination is worth more than any amount of money. This is what Bill Gates wants.

He's no longer the CEO, he gave that job to someone else, but he still holds the company.

Yes, they did go to court, more than once, over abusing their monopoly. But what does that have to do with anything?

He's not the chairman anymore, Steve Balmer is the CEO. Bill Gates is now the Chief Software Architect. Like that makes any difference, he was still the spokesman for the Windows XP launch. :rolleyes:
