EDIT: the server, right? My friend works in Microsoft as beta tester, and as they came out with a working version, he said I could have a copy, ofcourse it costed $$$.

Thats called redistributing, and even though you paid, it is still illegal

Yup, it's definately illegal. The money you paid will go straight into the pocket of your "friend"

I wouldn't recommend using Beta software on a production server anyway, especially a Beta operating system.
